Bazzana powers Guardians to 13–4 win

Australian Travis Bazzana made a strong contribution as the Cleveland Guardians defeated the Minnesota Twins 13–4 at Progressive Field. Batting five times, Bazzana collected three hits, scored twice and drove in one run, while also hitting a home run for six total bases. He recorded two assists and one putout in the field, with no errors. Cleveland built an early advantage by scoring three runs in each of the first two innings, then added runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth before a three-run seventh. Minnesota’s four runs came in the second, seventh and eighth innings, but the Guardians remained in control throughout. Bazzana was the only Australian player supplied for this event, and he recorded an appearance.
