Archie Goodwin came off the bench for Charlotte in their 2–0 Major League Soccer win over Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on 29 August 2026. The Australian forward played 16 minutes after replacing I. Toklomati in the 77th minute, with Charlotte already leading 2–0 following goals from I. Toklomati in the 22nd minute and L. Abada shortly after half-time. Goodwin made a tidy impact in limited time, completing his only attempted dribble, winning all three of his duels and drawing one foul. He also recorded one key pass from two passes, with both passes completed. Charlotte had 42 per cent possession but produced 13 shots and held their advantage comfortably, while Atlanta finished with 58 per cent of the ball and 16 attempts.
