Aaron Baddeley

Aaron John Baddeley was born on 17 March 1981 in Lebanon, New Hampshire, United States, and was raised in Australia from the age of two. He holds Australian and American citizenship and is associated with Melbourne, Victoria. Introduced to golf by his grandmother at age eight, Baddeley emerged as a leading Australian amateur and became the youngest Australian to represent the country in the Eisenhower Trophy at the time. He won the Australian Open in 1999 as an amateur and successfully defended the title in 2000 after turning professional. He also won the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit for the 2000–01 season and the 2001 Greg Norman Holden International. Baddeley established himself on the PGA TOUR after progressing through the US developmental circuit. His four PGA TOUR victories came at the 2006 Verizon Heritage, 2007 FBR Open, 2011 Northern Trust Open and 2016 Barbasol Championship. A right-handed professional golfer known on tour as “Badds”, he has maintained a long-standing professional career in the United States and remains listed by the PGA TOUR as an Australian player.
