14Alanna Stephanie Kennedy is an Australian international footballer from Campbelltown, New South Wales. A right-footed defender who can also play as a defensive midfielder, she is known for aerial strength, composed distribution and organising the defensive line. Born in Campbelltown on 21 January 1995, Kennedy developed through Campbelltown Cobras SC and Football NSW before entering the professional women’s league with Sydney FC as a teenager. Although now primarily a centre-back, she has described herself as naturally a midfielder, and that background has influenced her ability to progress the ball and initiate attacks from deep. She attended Westfields Sports High School.
Kennedy’s senior club pathway began in Australia with Sydney FC, Newcastle Jets, Sydney FC again, Western Sydney Wanderers and Perth Glory.
