Maya Joint falls in three-set Montreal battle

Australian Maya Joint was beaten 5-7, 7-6(3), 2-6 by Liudmila Samsonova in the Montreal M5 match in Toronto. Joint recovered from losing the opening set by taking the second-set tiebreak 7-3, but Samsonova secured the deciding set 6-2 to complete a 2-1 victory. The result left Joint with one set won and two lost.
