Emerson Jones advances in Montreal qualifying

Australian Emerson Jones defeated Varvara Lepchenko 6-7(3), 6-0, 6-4 in the Montreal qualifying round Q11 in Toronto. Jones recovered strongly after losing the opening-set tiebreak, dropping just one game in the second set before completing a three-set victory.
