Preston advances past Inglis in Vancouver

Taylah Preston defeated fellow Australian Maddison Inglis 7-6(5), 6-3 in the opening round of the Vancouver 125. Preston won both sets, taking the first in a tiebreak before closing out the second 6-3. Inglis was competitive in the opening set but could not convert the match after losing the tiebreak, and finished with no sets won.
