Jed Drew features in Hartberg’s 3–2 win over Ried
TSV Hartberg secured a 3–2 Bundesliga win over Ried at Profertil Arena Hartberg, leading 2–1 at half-time before holding on in an entertaining finish. Australian forward Jed Drew came off the bench and played 12 minutes for Hartberg, recording five passes, two accurate, and one offside, with no goals or assists. His appearance came late in the contest, entering in the 78th minute as Hartberg managed their narrow advantage. Hartberg were efficient despite having less possession, seeing 41% of the ball compared with Ried’s 59%, while producing 14 shots to Ried’s 17. The home side’s stronger attacking efficiency was reflected in their expected-goals figure of 2.78, compared with 1.67 for Ried. M. Hoffmann scored twice for Hartberg, including an early penalty, before J. Karner’s 71st-minute goal proved decisive after Ried had twice levelled the contest.
