Martin Boyle scores as Hibernian hold off Dundee
Martin Boyle was Hibernian’s standout Australian contributor in their 2–1 Premiership win over Dundee at Dens Park on 30 August 2026. Starting as captain, Boyle opened the scoring in the 25th minute, helping Hibernian take a 1–0 lead into half-time. He played 78 minutes, recording five shots, two on target, one key pass and a match rating of 8.3, before being replaced late in the contest. Hibernian doubled their advantage through C. Wright in the 61st minute, while Dundee pulled one back through J. Westley in the 83rd. The visitors controlled much of the match with 61 per cent possession, 25 total shots and seven on target, compared with Dundee’s 11 shots and three on target. Boyle finished without an assist, yellow card or red card, but his goal proved decisive as Hibernian secured all three points.
