Gianni Stensness helps Viking complete 2–1 comeback
Gianni Stensness played the full 90 minutes at centre-back as Viking defeated Aalesund 2–1 at Lyse Arena in the Eliteserien. Viking trailed 1–0 at half-time before turning the match around in the second half, securing the winning goal late on. Stensness provided a solid defensive contribution in the comeback, winning seven of his 10 duels, making two tackles and two interceptions, and drawing one foul. He also completed 58 passes, including one key pass, while recording two shots. Viking controlled 55 per cent of possession and created the greater attacking threat, registering 22 shots to Aalesund’s nine and earning 14 corners. The result completed a strong recovery after the interval, with Viking’s pressure eventually rewarded by two second-half goals.
