Cruz Hewitt advances in three-set Winston-Salem comeback

Australian Cruz Hewitt defeated S. Gorzny 2-1 in the Winston-Salem Open round of 64 in Winston-Salem, winning 1-6, 7-6(3), 6-4. Hewitt recovered from a one-sided opening set before levelling the match in a tiebreak and completing the comeback in the deciding set. The victory came after 2:10:49 on court and secured his progression to the next round. Hewitt finished with two sets won and one lost. No other Australian players were supplied for this event.
