De Minaur advances past Duckworth in Montreal

Alex de Minaur defeated fellow Australian James Duckworth 6-2, 7-6(6) in the National Bank Open presented by Rogers round of 64 in Montreal. De Minaur won both sets in a match lasting 1:46:47, including a tight second-set tiebreak, and progressed to the next round. Duckworth lost in straight sets, taking the second set to 6-6 before falling in the tiebreak. Both Australians recorded appearances in the match.
