Popyrin fights back to win Montreal opener

Australian Alexei Popyrin advanced from the National Bank Open first round in Montreal with a three-set victory over Argentina’s Roman Andres Burruchaga. Popyrin lost the opening set 6-4 but turned the match around to take the second 7-5 and the decider 6-3, completing a 2-1 win. The match lasted 2:12:05.
