Vukic advances in straight sets in Montreal qualifying

Australian Aleksandar Vukic progressed to the second round of qualifying at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal, defeating Tomas Barrios Vera 7-6(4), 6-2. Vukic took the opening set in a tiebreak before pulling clear in the second, completing a 2-0 victory in 1:52:15. The result gave him two sets won and none lost in the first-round qualifying match.
