Walton falls in three-set Cincinnati thriller

Adam Walton was edged by Jaime Faria in a tense Cincinnati Open R32 clash, losing 4-6 6-4 7-6(3) after two hours, 11 minutes and 22 seconds. The Australian made the stronger start, taking the opening set 6-4, but Faria responded by winning the second set 6-4. Walton then pushed the deciding set to a tie-break before falling 7-3, leaving him with one set won and two lost. No other Australian player was supplied for this event.
