Adam Blyth was born in England but grew up in Yeppoon, Queensland, and is represented in professional golf as Australian. His early development was supported heavily by his father, Stefan, who reportedly left his mechanic business so the family could relocate to Brisbane, where Blyth could access stronger competition. Blyth trained with coach Jim Bardon through the Queensland Academy of Sport and represented Queensland in Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches in 2003 and 2004.
