It is whether one of these prospects earns a club opportunity after the development phase and survives the less glamorous stages of the roster cycle: offseason work, preseason snaps, final cuts and practice-squad decisions.

For Australian fans, that is a more meaningful test of the pathway than another punter entering camp. The NFL has already demonstrated that Australia can supply specialist talent.
