The Portland Trail Blazers' official Twitter account recently announced that they have signed center Duop Reath to a standard NBA contract. Reath has inked a three-year deal after nearing the maximum number of games a two-way player can participate in a season.
At 27 years old, Reath has emerged as one of the most unexpected standouts for the Blazers this season. He has been averaging 17 minutes, 9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists over 38 games. Currently, the Trail Blazers are positioned 14th in the Western Conference with a record of 15 wins and 39 losses.
By promoting Reath to the main roster, the Blazers have freed up a two-way spot, which they can now utilise to sign another player.
