The August 28 finale should show how much of that trust can be earned in less than two weeks — particularly if Jacksonville asks him to play left guard again, shift to the right, or handle extended snaps late in the game.

That makes Faalele’s next test immediate without overstating his status. Jacksonville has acquired experience; the final preseason game will determine whether that experience is usable now.
